Hand-thrown in small batches

Honest stoneware for everyday tables.

We make functional ceramics one piece at a time — mugs, bowls and serving ware glazed in slow-fired earth tones. Quietly made to be used, not displayed.

The Collection

A few pieces from the shelf

Each glaze behaves a little differently in the kiln, so no two pieces are exactly alike. That variation is the point.

How a piece is made

From a lump of clay to your shelf

01 — WEDGE & THROW

Centred by hand

Every form starts on the wheel with local stoneware clay, wedged to remove air and thrown to a balanced wall.

02 — TRIM & DRY

Trimmed leather-hard

Once firm, each piece is trimmed, foot-rings cut and handles pulled, then left to dry slowly to avoid cracks.

03 — GLAZE & FIRE

Fired twice

A bisque firing is followed by glazing and a high reduction firing to 1280°C, where the colours finally settle.

Food-safe glazes

All tableware is finished with lead-free, dishwasher-safe glazes mixed in the studio.

Made to last

Thick walls and stable forms mean these pieces are built for daily use, not the cupboard.

Studio pickup

Collect your order from the workshop, or arrange local delivery within the city.

Learn the wheel

Small evening classes

We keep groups to six people so there is plenty of time at the wheel. No experience needed — just clothes you don’t mind getting muddy.

Taster evening

A relaxed two-hour introduction to centring and pulling your first cylinder. Clay and firing included.

Four-week course

A weekly session over a month, working from mugs through to a small set you’ll take home glazed.

Open studio

For past students — book a bench, use the wheels and kiln, and keep practising at your own pace.

“They feel like they were made for my hands. The mug I bought two winters ago is still the one I reach for every morning.”
— Marguerite L., studio regular
